Time flies when you're having fun!

Where has the time gone?

Okay, so this blog thing has not been as convenient as I had hoped. Brian came home, and we spent the next six weeks traveling. We went to Chico for a wedding and to see family, then we came home so Brian could work his one day before his month of leave. We then went down to Sea World and Disneyland (3 days between them). We were home for one day and then headed back to Chico for another wedding. We then went over to Colorado, stopping over night in Salt Lake. We spent a week in Colorado Springs with Kristy and Adam, we visited the north pole and Kristy and I got pedicures. We then drove home through New Mexico, stayed the night in Laughlin and ended our road trip the day before the Air Show open house. I started working full time the next monday, my dear friend moved and I was the one qualified to take her place... I still have a long way to go to fill her shoes, but it has been keeping me busy and giving Kristy a chance to socialize. She is going to a on home day care provider here on base and has a great time. There are three boys who also go to this home, one of them is just a few months older than Kristy, the other two are younger, a 16 month old and a 6 month old. She is talking so well now that we can understand almost everything she says. Brian has been unofficially made assistant flight chief. He is the 2nd or 3rd highest ranking on his shift. We are all very excited for Thanksgiving. And maybe even more so for the day after. I believe we will be among the ranks of the crazy's out at 4 am the morning waiting to get in the stores.... We shall see. So things have been crazy busy and very well. Hope all has been well for all of you and we look forward to hearing from everyone. Signing off....

Arrived

We drove down to LAX this morning, Sun the 11th, and picked up Brian. Kristy was playing shy but went straight to him. He hasnt been out of her site since. She's been running around showing him everything, "Daddy this, daddy my apple juice, daddy my book...." It has been great. We had a surprise welcome home party for him, really it was a small gathering of friends from church who all had dinner together, but it went over well too. Off to enjoy our completed family, until next time.....S

Finally Home!

Almost there.... Still

Brian is not home yet. He has had 3 different delays, 2-24 hour delays, 1-3 hour delay, also there is a lay over in Maryland, they will get rooms to sleep for about 6 hours (if that) before flying from Maryland to LAX. It has been an extremely long week. We are even more anxious for him to return home than even just 2 days ago. We have thankfully been able to keep busy with friends and preparations. So here we sit about 36 hours away. Check back, updates will keep coming.. and pictures too!

Countdown continued.....

We have just under a hand full of days left until Brian will be home... The days seem to be dragging. We are trying hard to fill our time preparing for him to come home. Really Kristy is continuing to make messes and I am continually cleaning up. Today we made the poster to put out to welcome him home. Kristy had lots of fun. Painting may become one of her daily request. Although she is really not much into being dirty so maybe not. She has been watching Care Bear movies constantly and is begging me to go now to put in the next one. Her wish is (almost always) my command!

With just a few days to go we are making all the preparations...

The Begining

The count down is on and so is the begining of this blog. Life is expected to get crazy and hectic with the reunion in less than two weeks.

Today Kristy and I joined some friends, Jen and Steven, in attending (for the first time in our life at Edwards) the Antelope Valley Fair. Kristy has gotten so used to me taking her pictures that she has stopped being co-operative. I did still manage to get some pics... of course, but it is becoming more of a challenge. We had a blast (at the fair). Kristy rode a few different rides. She rode a kids roller coaster, with me. She experienced a fun house, car ride, boat ride, mini ferris wheel and a spinning tea cup ride. My education of the day, what didn't work 10 years ago won't work today! The tea cups were fun and I got some great shots by going on them... however, I still couldn't handle the pressure and spinning of it. Kristy on the other hand had so much fun, feared not one ride, and tried to get on a few whe wasnt big enough for. At her 36" she was very limited on what she could and couldn't ride. Enjoy the pictures and know that we are alive and kicking. Well, maybe not kicking, but definately alive.
