Katy

Katy was playing around during the soccer game. She was so cute I had to take pics. She was hamming it up a bit too.

More soccer

Kristy has a pretty good team. There are 10 kids on her team and they have cut practices to once a week due to hectic family schedules. That being said they still have won every game (I know its not about winning or losing but parents keep track) We overheard some of the parents from the other team talking about how good it was that they did a lottery to decide teams but there need to be consideration, 'cause look at the yellow team, those are big kids, how old are they?

as usual good stuff!

AIR SHOW!

One of the craziest days in a while. The air shows are always interesting. It was a lot of work for the base but well worth it. They are estimating a turn out of 175k-250k people. The traffic was backed up from the flight line to Ave D on the 14 fwy (about 20 miles) and about 30 miles out the north on the 58. It was nice to see the pilots get to show off some fancy flying and to get up close to the aircraft. The guys and gals who were lucky enough to work really got beat up. It was pure insanity. Brian pulled a 16 hour day!
We found a spot with our friends the Halverstadts and enjoyed the show. Bad pic but it give the idea.
Kristy loved every minute of it. The freebies and seeing her teacher on the weekend.... life couldnt get better.
Katy on the other hand was not impressed with all the noise and was unsure of most everything down to the shuttle bus we rode to get there to avoid the insanity of parking.
All in all and enjoyable event. It really made me think what is the draw for people to wait 3 hours to get here for this and it made me remember my curiosity when I first came to visit Brian and began my knowledge of the air force. It is our everyday regular life but to others it is unique and different.

Strawberry Shortcake with whipped cream topping

If all of the eight desserts listed below were
sitting in front of you, which would you choose (sorry, you can
only pick one)! Trust me...this is very accurate. Pick your dessert, and
then look to see what psychiatrists think about you.

REMEMBER - No Cheating. Make your choice before you check the
meaning. After taking this dessert personality test, send this e-mail on
to others, but when you do, be sure to put your choice of dessert in the
subject box above.

Here are your choices:

1. Angel Food Cake
2. Brownies
3. Lemon Meringue Pie
4. Vanilla Cake With Chocolate Icing
5. Strawberry Short Cake with whipped cream topping
6. Chocolate Cake With Chocolate Icing
7. Ice Cream
8. Carrot Cake

No, you can't change your mind once you scroll down, so think
carefully about what your choice will be. OK - Now that you've made your
choice, this is what the researchers say about you...SCROLL DOWN

1. ANGEL FOOD CAKE -- Sweet, loving, cuddly. You love all warm
and fuzzy items. A little nutty at times. Sometimes you need an ice
cream cone at the end of the day. Others perceive you as being childlike
and immature at times.

2. BROWNIES -- You are adventurous, love new ideas, and are a
champion of underdogs and a slayer of dragons When tempers flare up you
whip out your saber. You are always the oddball with a unique sense of
humor and direction. You tend to be very loyal.

3. LEMON MERINGUE -- Smooth, sexy, & articulate with your hands,
you are an excellent caregiver and a good teacher. But don't try to walk
and chew gum at the same time. A bit of a diva at times, you set your
own style because you do your own thing...You shine when it comes to helping others and have many friends.

4. VANILLA CAKE WITH CHOCOLATE ICING -- Fun-loving, sassy, humorous, not very grounded in life; very indecisive and lacking motivation. Everyone enjoys being around you, but you are a practical joker. Others should be cautious in making you mad. However, you are a friend for life.

5. STRAWBERRY SHORTCAKE -- Romantic, warm, loving. You care
about other people, can be counted on in a pinch and expect the same in
return. Intuitively keen. You can be very emotional at times but a true
person in every way. You like to do things for yourself and help others
learn about themselves.

6. CHOCOLATE CAKE WITH CHOCOLATE ICING-- Sexy, always ready to
give and receive. Very creative, adventurous, ambitious, and passionate.
You can appear to have a cold exterior but are warm on the inside. Not
afraid to take chances. Will not settle for anything average in life.
Love to laugh.

7. ICE CREAM -- You like sports, whether it be baseball, football, basketball or soccer. If you could, you would like to participate, but you enjoy watching sports. You don't like to give up the remote control. You tend to be self-centered and high maintenance.

8. CARROT CAKE -- You are a very fun loving person, who likes to
laugh. You are fun to be with. People like to hang out with you. You are
a very warm hearted person and a little quirky at times. You have many
loyal friends. You were meant to lead and teach others. A wonderful role
model.

Priorities

So I have decided that I am not going to continue with my portrait photography, beyond a few customers that I have been taking pics of for years regularly. I am still going to of course continue taking pics of life and the girls and such but unless I land a job on a payroll to take pics I am hanging up my hat in the photography business. If time allows I may look into the possibility of selling landscape pictures but am likely done for a while. It is something I love doing and am thrilled to be able to document peoples lives but with all the activities we have with the girls and work, time is just too precious to work so much. I have found myself letting people down because I over extend myself with commitments and simply can't do it all. Also with the training and deployment we are looking at Brian going for, really in the not distant spring, our family really needs all the time we can gather. This year I have been in a phase of self discovery and development. I have been doing a lot more for myself and have found that I am at a bit of a standstill with my physical improvement and am in need of attention to other areas to be able to really get to where I need to be. I will eventually re evaluate this decision and possible get back to it but for now it will simply be a way to document the precious moments in life that are passing too quickly to remember for generations to come. Maybe I will be able to get back to making the girls scrapbooks in the little bit of extra time I may have freed from this decision. Regardless we will continue to keep up the blogs and work on making life all we want it to be.

Birthday fun

We went to a birthday party over the weekend. The girls had a good time. They had all sorts of fun toys... a bounce house
and pumpkin decorating.
And most importantly Katy learned not to walk behind the swings. A little girl was swinging and Katy walked right behind her and took two hits to the nose with the swing before the little girl knocked her out of the way and was able to get off the swing. Her nose swelled and has a nice mark across it. It does look much better today though. She doesnt react as though it hurts at all so I think she'll be all right.

Laughlin

Brian and I took the opportunity to escape for a weekend away. We ran out to Laughlin and relaxed and wandered the river for 2 days. It was very nice and relaxing. Much needed and appreciated. The weather was perfect out there.

Flowers

Katy enjoyed smelling the roses. Brian got me roses when he found out that I had been selected as the "trades and labor employee of the quarter" for the squadron. Our squadron consist of about 2000 staff and I am now put up for the award for employee of the quarter for the Wing, includes the 2 largest squadrons on base. Will let you know if anything more come of it.

Soccer Games

Here area few pics from Kristys games not as many action as I have but wanted to get a few up. Enjoy!
