I noticed Katy hasn't been in the last few post so here she is. We have all been going in circles with colds so pics without snotty noses are few and far between. None the less, she is a doll. Her speech is improving everyday. She can say "rsty" and Kristy would probably just assume she didn't. She runs around the house calling "Rsty". Enjoy!
She loves to dress up, she is wearing a toe sock on one hand and a glove on the other, a beany cap and a flowery hat over top. With her curls she totally pulls it off.
Love this one!
Can't help but smile looking at this face! I think she has a secret..?

The Zoo
So the Girl Scouts are keeping us so busy, honestly I am debating if we will sign her up next year. We are taking full advantage though of having her in a troop that is about going and doing. This weekend they had a trip to the LA Zoo. Here is a shot of Kristy, she really enjoys pulling "silly" faces when I am taking her picture.
At the gorilla area there was some excitement. There was a mother gorilla and her baby (probably from last year). The girls thought it was cute and funny how the momma was cleaning the baby and the way the baby was rolling around grabbing its feet and playing. As you can see Kristy was having a good laugh with her buddy.
The big one they were laughing at came over to the window and stared at the kids (it really looked like he/she was mocking the expressions of the kids. She just stared them down and then as the kids leaned into the glass to get close she mimicked them and stood up and put palms to the glass. These are some intelligent animals, I almost felt bad for staring. Hard to see through the glare but this is her standing at the glass.
Here she is leaving after giving the quick show. She showed us!
Finally the giraffes. This was my favorite pic, a two headed giraffe. Ok not really but looking quickly enough it could be.

Kristy is 6
I have pics from the 5th, her actual b-day, but thought I would share these pics from her party. We went to the movies here on base. We got to choose the movie (Bedtimes Stories) and had a pajama party to make a theme of it. They had movie posters made up to showcase Kristy's b-day and decorated the foyer for the party.
They took the kids up to the projection room to show them how the movie is played. They got to play with moving the curtains and look out to see how high the video is above the crowd.
Instead of doing party favors we had the kids decorate pillows. After they finished we let them go up on the stage and have a pillow fight. I don't know that the employees were thrilled with this but they didn't complain about it either. lol
All the kids in their pajamas (almost all, the babies didn't make it in to the shot)
Also included in the party was the ice cream cake. Kristy got to pick the flavors and color decorations.
Blowing out the candles
After the cake it was time for the presents. She was given 4 barbies (each one different and great), 2 outfits a build-a-bear bunny with a personal message from her friend, a few books and two sets of beads for making bracelets and stuff.
After all the fun and excitement teh kids got popcorn and sodas and got to choose their seats for the movie. It was a private showing so the 25 of us were able to spread out throughout the theater.
After the movie we found out how they clean up the mess so fast!
It was as Kristy says, the best day ever and she wished it never had to end.

Another tooth and a messy face
Katy is so interested in Kristy losing teeth. Here she is after dinner with clean hands but not face.
A good shot of silly faces
Cute posers
Showing off the loot
Proud almost 6 year old. Kristy has milked the tooth for a week and we finally got it to break out tonight. She was so thrilled it did not hurt or bleed. We are getting ready for her birthday party on saturday. Going to the movies for it. Will post on it shortly after.
