One thing I can say is that I don't understand why people choose to live in a place with snow! Not my cup of tea... lol. It was fun to visit and play a bit, but geez, driving in it and going out in that cold! No thanks. LOL
Stopped for a break on the way home.
The girls wanted to try to play on the playground at the hotel... I took a few pics and they climbed onto the play equipment then climbed down and we went back in out of the cold. brrrr.
We also took the chance to go and wander around Temple Square. It was nice to see the things that have changed and those that haven't. Really a unique and pretty place.

Playing in Utah

Utah
We made a last minute trip to northern Utah. We went to attend a funeral for Chantel Fox. It was a very emotional weekend. She was a friend that was there unconditionally and was more spiritual than any one that I know. These are views from the spot that she was buried. An absolutely beautiful place.
This is an area at the entrance to the cemetery. It made me think of how Chantel would joke about wishing we could live in a neighborhood where we would all come together in the common area to share meals and company. What better than a little common area to reflect and come closer to those who have passed.
It is sad for us to have temporarily lost such a great person, however it is better for her to not be limited anymore. Until we meet again!

Update
Dad had his surgery last week. Everything went well. He is recovering pretty well. Still had some pain due to the surgery but that is to be expected.
Brian is on half day duty for work. He is doing okay but is in a lot of pain. He has had a constant headache since the accident 2 and an half weeks ago. He has some cognitive disconnects and memory loss. The Dr.s say it could be 3 months before he recovers. We look forward to him being able to get back to working, driving, bowling and living life as he did before.
As for the car we received settlement today that they have deemed it a total loss. At first it looked to be fixable and then they did a further tear down and found that the rain had gotten into the airbags and other dash components. So we are now looking at where we are going from here.
Thanks again for everyones prayers and thoughts. It has been a trying month but we are optimistic that things are going to improve.

The rest of Jan and a little Feb
We took the opportunity to go to the PBA finals. THe girls got to meet the pro bowlers we watch on tv watch weekend. They are really for the most part very nice people. Not very many people bring kids, especially as young as ours are to these events so they got a great welcome, I think it helps that many of them are away from their families and so our girls made them think of home. Anyway, here are the pics.
This is the girls with Wes Malott.
This is Walter Ray Williams Jr. He has a daughter Katy's age.
This is Kristy with Rhino Page, she is holding a ball he took out of his bag and signed as a gift for her. Her new favorite player.
This is me and our friend Kim who bowled in the pro am with Kristy and I. A great time had by all.
