Katy

Katy has increased her talking a lot. She will debate with you over possession (mine, mommies, yours.. followed by item being debated) she will also tell on Kristy or announce when someone is home. She is still difficult to understand but she is getting there. She has also started dressing herself. I don't think I had posted this pic of her 2 months ago trying to put on her swimsuit........ but she has improved to dressing herself like this...

Soccer

So this year Kristy is playing sports. She started soccer today. She has been loving soccer for a year and is as in most things extremely excited about the season. Here are a few pics from her first practice

First grade

Kristy started first grade on monday. she loves it. Loves her teacher and loves to learn. She said she isn't there long enough during the day. Here are a few pics from the first morning of first grade.

Celebrate!

Here I was at Kristys birthday in March.
Here I am today.
That is a 30 lb. difference! I have dropped 2 shirt sizes and 3 pant sizes. I am still fluctuating a little around the 30 mark but weighed at my official time and was more than half a pound below the mark, so I am celebrating. Thought I would share. I never would have thought that I would make such progress in such a short time. I still have a bit to go but am well on my way and am motivated to continue on.

Cookies

The girls and I filled the evening with making cookies. They were so cute and had such a good time. Katy mimicked most of my directions for them and when we did the baking portion she would say "ery, ery, ery HOT!"
Kristy drooled as she watched and counted down to the timer. Not sure about the face, but it was funny!
So proud, ready to cook... the girls were already ready to eat.
Katy was unsure of the mixer but eventually took a turn.
Just a little clown, she was playing with all the utensils while I explained to Kristy about the different measurements.

Brownies

We were brought some brownies by some friends and being on diets they lasted a couple days. Katy got up a little early and was apparently not willing to wait for me to get breakfast. I came out to find her "brown" handed. There was 2 brownies on the plate before and after a small rip of plastic she made quick work of them. I asked her are you supposed to be eating that, she said "nooo..." followed by this face:Then she told me "all gone!"

Summer ending

We are at the end of the summer already. It is sad to think that it went by so quickly. We went to Laughlin for back to school shopping. It was a mini vacation and an opportunity for quality discounted clothes. We had a really good time. Enjoy the pics.




We took some time to go up the road and check out the Davis Dam. It was interesting but the 115 degree heat made it a little less enjoyable... The girls had their moments of interest and really just enjoyed being out. We walked the bridge to get to the visitor area and were able to see all the people out boating and water skiing and such, it really made us all think about taking a dip. I believe it even made the 115 seem more like 130...lol.
