Katy loves shoes, not necessarily wearing them, but playing with them. She was playing with a cabbage patch kid shoe and spent a good 15 minutes trying to put it on and walk in it. It was so cute.
She has also been a big help lately. She will get a diaper for you when she is wet, asked or looking to make a mess. She will open the drawer, pull out one, or more, and close the drawer. Thinking I would document this new behavior, I grabbed my camera. Wouldn't you know she showed us how she occasionally catches her fingers in the process. Sometimes she will avoid this by using her hip. Thats something to see. Haven't caught that one yet so here is her finger pinch.
For Kristy's birthday we had a few kids over (pics on the way). The gift we got for each of the kids who attended was mini magna doodles. It was only but 2 days later that we got an extra one because Katy would not seperate from Kristys. Do we have another budding artist?
Katy is growing so fast. She loves to shake her head no. When asked for a kiss she will walk towards you, then turn and walk away at the last moment. I am sure she is thoroughly entertained by the reactions she gets because she laughs as she walks away. When I have the camera she does everything she can to avoid a picture. She makes me work to get good shots. I was trying to get one today of her and asked her "Katy can I take a picture of you?" she shook her head at me and walked away. Boy are we in for some trouble with this girl!

Easter Pics
For Easter we had our second egg hunt with the Sapp Family. We forgot to turn off our sprinklers so the Bunny left all the eggs in the Sapps yard. Kristy and Hunter cleaned up the eggs pretty quickly.
Katy wasn't sure what to think. She wanted to get the eggs but didn't like the grass.
Katy had it figured out how to carry the basket though, when first taking it she held it in the crook of her arm and when she and Kristy were ready to go home she wouldn't let go.
Katy had a little bit of candy and was more entertained by the eggs than the candy.
Kristy had a lot of fun. She felt like Giselle from Enchanted wearing such a pretty dress, and wouldn't you know it she got the movie from the Easter Bunny too.

Photography

It is done. My contract was official as of March 1st and advertising began that day. This is the page from the base services monthly magazine that has my ad on it. There has been a lot of interest and I have been hired to take the little league baseball photos for the league on base. It is still slow but if the interest ever turns to business then I could end up getting pretty busy. Wish me luck!

Kristy vs Buddy
So it wasn't really a vs., but more of a Buddy used Kristy, while she was napping, as a spring board to get over the couch. We had a few moments of concern, in trying to wake up she was refusing to open her eye! All is well as you can tell in these pics, it has been another week since these pics and the scratch is completely gone. Yeah! Enjoy the pics.

And of course Katy had to get at least one shot in...

Slowly but surely
Well, it has been a long week. I got hit with one of the worst colds i have had in a long time. Luckily it spread out over the week so it wasn't all at once. I have finally got a few minutes to go back to some pics. As previously mentioned Nana Platt was out visiting so I wanted to put a few more pics of that up. We went out to Nana & Papa Graffs for a day. Kristy got to play Go Fish with Nana, it got really interesting as Kristy started changing the rules to determine who would win....

Kristy's Birthday
More to come, Kristy and Nana made her birthday cake, it turned out great, all princess. And we sent some home with a few guests who later informed me it was the best cake they have had in a long time! SO props to Nana and more pics and info to come when a little more time is available. Hopefully this week.

Flower Girl
Pattie and Casey had their wedding on the 1st of March. Kristy was a flower girl and Katy was just adorable. Here are a few pics.
Nana Platt came out to visit, she got here the 19th of Feb and spent just a few days before going to Chico to visit with Don and family and a few friends. She was kind enough to come help keep tabs on Katy during the wedding, I was taking pics, Brian and Kristy were in the wedding party, along with the rest of Brian's family, so it was great to have Nana there.
