Friends

Kristy has had the opportunity to have some friends visit, they have had a blast. Between the park and bowling and just hanging out at home, it has been so much fun they don't know what to do. This is Kristy's first week not at school full time and mine of being on maternity leave, so it has been a blessing to have the company of friends to pass the time. Now lets see how it goes with out the constant playmates.

Week 37

So next appt is scheduled for the 2nd of Feb. We were told, "hopefully you will make it that long", at the last appt. This statement has had me on edge, paying far too much attention to my body and the things that are going on with it. So any time now we should have Katy joining us. We are hoping to make it to Feb 1st at least, of course we have no control over this... until next time.

Ready, Set, Lets GO!

We had a very nice baby shower thrown for us on the 13th. Kristy called it Katy's birthday party. I asked when Katy was going to be born and she answered, "in an hour", "no I don't think so", "in 4 hours?"... She is trying. We received many very nice gifts and can say we have pretty much everything we need to welcome little Katy home. We are so ready to be done, or should I say, I am so ready to be done. We still have rearranging to do, but that can happen after, since she will not sleep in her crib for the first few months. Kristy is so excited not only to have a little sister but to have Mommy with energy and flexibility to play. We are down to the last 30 days or less, so it is really a wait and see game, sleeping has become difficult and my back and hips are starting to adjust, or so I believe that's what is causing the discomfort and pain. There are so many great things about pregnancy, the greatest being when it is over, not only having your body back but having the child you suffered so much to bring into this world. So this is where I stand, I am ready and anxious to go. Get this done and over with and move past the pregnant stage of life! On that note, I will attempt to catch a bit of sleep before I must report to my last week and 1 day of work. (until my maternity leave is up anyway)

Counting down...

We are counting down. I hit the 34 week mark and am still measuring about 2 weeks big. I have 2 weeks until my next appt. and then one week after that we will hopefully get the ultrasound that will tell us when we will get to induce labor, of course this is all saying things dont happen naturally before then. We are all getting excited. We are being given a baby shower this saturday and I will go on maternity leave starting the 29th of this month. Its all just around the corner.
Oh yes, if you havent heard we have a name also... Katy Myrie (Marie)
