Dad had his surgery last week. Everything went well. He is recovering pretty well. Still had some pain due to the surgery but that is to be expected.
Brian is on half day duty for work. He is doing okay but is in a lot of pain. He has had a constant headache since the accident 2 and an half weeks ago. He has some cognitive disconnects and memory loss. The Dr.s say it could be 3 months before he recovers. We look forward to him being able to get back to working, driving, bowling and living life as he did before.
As for the car we received settlement today that they have deemed it a total loss. At first it looked to be fixable and then they did a further tear down and found that the rain had gotten into the airbags and other dash components. So we are now looking at where we are going from here.
Thanks again for everyones prayers and thoughts. It has been a trying month but we are optimistic that things are going to improve.

I'm so glad that Brian is okay, but sorry to hear about the headaches and the memory loss. It will improve with time. Brain injury no matter how mild often take a lot of time to heal. But I know he'll be back to normal in no time at all. I'm sure he's ready to be back to 'normal'. Well, as normal as he ever was. :P
That sucks about the car, but at least it's something that can be replaced.
I'm assuming the training for deployment is on hold for now...
